Flutter, the startupthatcreated the gestured-based song controllerfor iTunesand Spotify, hasbeen acquiredby Google accordingto a splash pageonthe company's website. The Flutter app used the computer's webcamto acknowledge palm gesturesfor starting, stopping,or switching songson OS X and Windows. Asidefrom iTunesand Spotify, Flutterwas concordantwith the accumulationother apps, together with Quicktime Player, Rdio, and even Google Chrome.
Basedonthe existent Chrome formation (which allowsfor carry outof Netflix, YouTube, Grooveshark, and Pandora),it's probablethat Googleis seekingintosome kindof gesticulate controlsfor browsingthe web. However, the recordcouldbefor the wide rangeof uses suchas Google Glass, which now uses gesturesacross the touch-sensitive baronthe sideofthe unit.
Googlehasnotyet reliablethe acquisition.
